Rome -- April May, 2004!!!
Welcome to Rome through the "eyes" of Fr. LaSalle's camera!!!
Welcome to Rome -- The Eternal City! Last year I took this photo of the "home office" at night. I only wish that van had been parked elsewhere! Oh well, this year I am again visiting La Bella Roma. I will be staying at the Angelicum, the International Theological University run by the Dominican Friars. I will spend time with my classmate, Fr. Luke Buckles and Fr. Robert Christian, both professors at the Angelicum. I also hope to see my other classmate, Fr. Allen Duston, but his work for the Vatican Museums often takes him away from Rome. Anyway, I hope to see as much of Rome as possible and I invite you, my dear friends, to join me in this exciting trip. Every day I hope to publish some photos of places and things that I have seen that day. I hope that you will enjoy being a part of my trip to La Bella Roma --- Rome --- The Eternal City!
I will do my best to stay on top of this, but thanks for your patience. I promise that photos will be there in a timely manner! Ciao!.
Drats! Today, May 6th, I went to the Franciscan Church to see the famous cemetery where the bones of the dead priests are used as decorations and it is closed "for works!" Drats! At least I saw it last year! I will see if I can put may scanned postcards of the cemetery back online whenI return to the USA! Such is the Roman experience!
Click on the link below to see scans of postcards from several places where photos were not allowed!
Did I bring the right clothes for Rome's weather???
Of course, you will all be in my prayers and thoughts. If you have a special intention that you would like me to remember in my prayers, especially when I celebrate Mass in St. Peter's Basilica or St. Dominic's Cell at Santa Sabina Basilica, please click here at send me an email: lasalleop@opwest.org!
May God richly bless each and every one of you!!!
