May 2nd!!!
Page #1 of 3!
Today was a quiet day, as is appropriate since it was Sunday! After Mass in Saint Mary Major, Fr. Luke and I were going to go to the Sunday Audience in the Piazza San Pietro, but there was a problem with the buses. Instead, we went back to the Angelicum and at 6 PM we went to the Abbey of San Anselmo for a short concert of Sacred Choral Music. We had a leisurely walk back, stopping for dinner in the Trastevere. This evening, thankfully, the buses were running and we were able to get back to the Angelicum without delay.
Here I am standing on the Esquiline Hill, looking towards the Quirinale Hill with the Viminale in between...three hill of ancient Rome! |

The Coliseum is seen at the end of this side street near the Angelicum. |
After Mass, but before going back to the Angelicum, Fr. Luke and I had a caffe in this typically crowded coffee bar. |

As I said before, the Communists like to make noise over here. |
The Church of Saint Agatha of the Goths was originally an Arian Church that the Roman Church took over when Patriarch Arius was condemned at an early Church Council. |
The church was locked, but I tried to get a view of the inner courtyard of the Church. Maybe some day I will be able to sneak inside and see what is there. |
