April 30th!!!

Page #2 of 3!

This is the nave of the Basilica of Saint Agnes.

This is the Tomb of Saint Agnes. It is in the crypt immediately under the altar of the Basilica.

These pillars and arches date from the 6th or 7th Century.

The modern entrance to the basilica can be seen under the scaffolding. The ancient entrance is located right in the middle of the photo behind the scaffolding.

The is the Mausoleum of Constanza. It was built as a tomb for Constanza, but it is now a Church.

Just as we arrived a wedding came out. The happy bride and groom are still taking pictures!

The Maseleo of Constanza is circular with chairs all around the altar.

The mosaics in the ceiling are very ancient. They have been repaired several times, but they still convey their ancient character.
